This beach in Canggu is a great place if you are a beginner surfer. The bold and sleek waves will make you feel very comfortable while you study for hours. Sometimes, there is a bit of small swell that might take you nearer to a rocky patch, so you need to be aware. The low tide here produces some mushy and messy waves but in general, it is great in high or low. This place is also perfect if you are traveling with kids and want to learn how to surf.

2. Green Bowl Beach

After a 30 minutes walk around a cliff and down a flight of stairs, you’ll be welcomed by a beach that faces south, directly in front of pretty big swells, and is best at high tide. Its currents are super powerful and tend to pull you all over the place, making the paddling doesn’t stop. The tides here usually are very high in the morning, so midday is the best time to visit.

3. Medewi Beach

It’ll take you about 2.5 hours to get to Medewi Beach from the Ngurah Rai Airport. It’s perfect for a dawny or a morning surf because we all know the best surf is away from the crowds. The best time to hit the surf is ideally around mid-tide, and that’s when the pointbreak fires and peels off to the left. The waves here are smooth and fat, which makes it ideal for all levels, from beginners to pros!

4. Suluban Beach

Suluban Beach is definitely perfect for advanced surfers. The tide produces big and powerful waves all day long that give the perfect left and right breaks for the surfers. Its beautiful and mystique vibes make us feel like surfing for a movie scene. The beach itself is also very unique since it is mapped out among the caves.

5. Balangan Beach

If you are into picturesque waves and beaches, Balangan Beach is on your number one list. Many surfers come here because it has a feeling of true surfing culture. The waters chuck out waves no matter the tide and the bay is still really untouched. This spot is suitable for any level surfers. The beginner can enjoy its smaller swells and when they get bigger that’s when the waves will be lined with the pros.

6. Batu Mejan

Last but not least, another favorite surf spot especially if you’re a no-one. The waves are super powerful and consistent, making them perfect for advanced surfers. This beach has attracted many surfers both locally and internationally. The perfect conditions are usually between mid and high tide since the low tide is too low over the shallow reef. A heaven for surfers.

7. Impossible Beach

impossible beach surfing

Impossible Beach is one of the foremost far-famed surf spots in Bali I’d say. The waves here are sized, however, that’s not wherever its name comes from. Its name was really given thanks to the access purpose to the beach, which was super tough to induce to and a touch of a mission impossible. however because of its killer waves, over the years it’s gained quality with the crowds so they’ve created the beach way a lot of accessible now.
